The Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk will have responsibility over purchase ledger process over multiple countries and currencies including US and Canada. This is a hybrid role, with a minimum of 1 day a week required in the office.
Working closely with the Group Finance Manager and Management Accountant, the key responsibilities for the role will include:
Responsibility for the day-to-day purchase ledger process:- Invoicing coding and posting into the finance software.
- Monitoring of the accounts payable email inbox.
- Distribution of invoices to authorisers.
- Working with other members of the finance team to ensure accurate coding.
- Preparation and submission weekly payment run.
- Maintaining a clean purchase ledger, with weekly reviews, including supplier account analysis.
- Timely resolution of supplier queries to ensure all queried transactions are cleared promptly.
- Reconciliation of supplier statements to the ledger.
- Reviewing expenses and ensuring timely payment.
- Helping to support the Group Financial Accountant with internal and external audits.
- Assisting with month end process.
- Other ad hoc tasks which may be required.
This is a hybrid role located in our Manchester City Center Oxford Rd. office one day a week. The salary for this role is around 25k GBP.
Essential
- 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Good excel skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to successfully communicate with people at all levels, both financial and non-financial
- Experience of using accountancy software, ideally SAP Business One
