We are looking for a permanent Inventory Assistant to join our friendly, down to earth and hard working team.
About the role:
The primary purpose of this job is to compare the quantities of items physically present in the warehouse to the inventory records on the Warehouse Management System, reporting to the Inventory Controller. This can be a physically demanding role at times.
What will I be accountable for?
- Checking the warehouse inventory by performing physical counts and comparing these to the Warehouse Management System.
- Performing daily physical counts, including routine audits.
- Use of Excel spreadsheets (data input)
- Actioning stock adjustments under the supervision of the Inventory Shift Controller.
- Reviewing and checking customer complaints and reporting back to the warehouse management team.
- Following the discrepancy investigation process.
- Resolving problems identified by the Warehouse team.
- Physically relocating stock when required.
- Completing stock inspections to identify defects or damage and reporting this information to the Warehouse Management team.
- Assisting other departments during peak periods.
- Maintaining and continuing to improve these processes and activities.
- Ensuring standards of health and safety, hygiene and security are met.
- Performing ad-hoc additional warehouse duties as required.

- Ability to follow processes and procedures accurately.
Education and Experience:
- Warehouse experience (Stock Control desirable).
- Familiar with stock systems (ERP).
- Competent numeric skills.
- Pivot truck & MEWP licence advantageous. (Training will be given)
