Mploy is looking for Inventory Controller to support one of our clients who is a global well-known brand. The job is located in Fareham, however, training will take place in Southampton (near Southampton Airport) for the first few weeks. This job is offered on a temp-to-perm basis.
POSITION PURPOSE:
Inventory Controller will be responsible for the day to day functions of the Stock Control and Warehouse Administration area, ensuring that daily tasks are carried out effectively and timely to allow effective operations on site.
Main Responsibilities:
- Carrying out physical stock checks as and when required and ensure that all any stock anomalies are investigated thoroughly.
- Communicating any stock amendments to the customer in a timely and professional manner
- Ensuring that all relevant KPI reporting documents are correctly maintained.
- Carrying out other administrative duties accurately and within agreed timescales.
- To ensure that daily IC reports are checked and any required investigation is undertaken to try and get a resolution.
- To ensure that all tasks are carried out in line with the Company's Health & Safety Policy.
- Assist in the activity of stock management, ensuring stock integrity is achieved and maintained according to customer and company requirements
- Performing periodic stock checks as instructed by your supervisor, recording details and reporting discrepancies.
- Assist with regular inventory audits.
- Completion of regular administrative tasks according to company procedures.
- Communicate with warehouse management, staff and relevant parties regarding anticipate problems and identification of appropriate resolution.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Good IT Skills, WMS specifically JD Edwards, Microsoft office, word, excel and outlook
- Have previous stock control experience, preferably warehousing or manufacturing
- Thoroughness/Attention to Detail Ability to investigate discrepancies and resolve through a logic approach
- Past experience in delivering inventory process standardisation and improvements.
- Be commercially minded and results driven.
- JDE/WMS knowledge required.
- Computer literacy with proficiency in all Microsoft programs.
- Ability to interact and communicate at all levels both internally and externally.
- Able to work effectively as a team member to provide flexibility to tasks and working hours to meet with the business needs
