Croydon Interpreters are based in South Croydon and are looking for qualified Interpreters, fluent in the Nuer language.Interpreter must have the following requirements:Must have proven experience with interpreting and translating servicesMust be able to understand when taking instructions from caseworkerMust be able to execute, clear and precise instructions between client and caseworkerMust be able to interpret well with children and vulnerable adults given the sensitivity of the matterMust have a valid DBS Enhanced DisclosureMust hold any one of the Interpreting Qualification:- Community Interpreting Level 2- Community Interpreting Level 3- Community Interpreting Level 4- DPI (formerly Metropolitan Police Test) Unit Pass - (Diploma in Police Interpreting)- DPSI (Health) Partial - (Diploma in Public Service Interpreting)- DPSI (Law) Unit Pass - (Diploma in Public Service Interpreting)- DPSI (Local Govt.) Partial - (Diploma in Public Service Interpreting- IND (Home Office) – (Immigration Nationality Directorate)- UK Border Agency Certificate- Language Related Degree - Nuer- Language Related Diploma - NuerThe interpreter will be instructed on an ad-hoc basis, subject to availability.Job Type: FreelanceSalary: £18.00 per hourBenefits:Work from homeSchedule:Monday to FridayWeekend availabilityExperience:Interpreting / translation: 1 year (required)Language:Nuer and English (required)Work Location: Remote
