European languages Freelance Interpreter and Translator in Greater Manchester
Echo Translations and Interpreting services are looking for European languages speakers based in Greater Manchester.
The languages we are looking for are:
- Albanian
- Bulgarian
- Czech
- Estonian
- Hungarian
- Italian
- French
- Latvian
- Lithuanian
- Romanian
- Russian
- Polish
- Portuguese
- Slovak
- Spanish
- Ukrainian
We provide business to business translation services and community interpreting to a wide range of clients.
We are looking for confident interpreters and translators that can interpret for our clients and non-English speaking service users.

What will you be doing?
As an interpreter, you will help our clients and service users communicate with each other and communicate their needs in a professional and impartial way.
You will be interpreting for our clients and service users across the Greater Manchester area including councils, hospitals, GP’s, and home visits. This will ensure that non-English clients will receive the support they need.
As a translator you will translate and review documents for our clients that can range from government paperwork, letters, appointments, correspondence and more.

Having one of the below qualifications is preferred, but not essential:
·Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI)
·Community Interpreting
·National Registered (NRPSI)
·Chartered Institute of Linguists Qualifications (CIOL)
·Certificate in Bilingual Skills (CBS)
·BA in Translation/Interpreting
·BA in Languages/Linguistics
Requirements:
- Right to Work in the UK
- Liability Insurance
- Approx. 100 hours interpreting experience – either professional or personal (family, friends, or volunteering)
