Who We Are
The Academic Partnership Unit (APU) at Coventry University works across the University Group to identify, develop and support academic collaborations between Coventry University and its growing partner network, both in the UK and around the world. Providing extensive support to our partners, the APU primarily helps to facilitate the development, management and delivery of academic programmes jointly with overseas education providers. Our team is part way towards achieving a growth phase that includes the realisation of ambitious targets for further expanding the scale of our activity, and enhancing still further our position as a leading university in the delivery of TNE.
To achieve further growth and increase our presence worldwide, we are looking to appoint a International Travel and Events Co-ordinator.
The post holder will work with a range of senior stakeholders, both internal and external, managing travel itineraries, and travel booking arrangements and will be responsible for reducing/optimising travel costs across all areas of the APU business. The post holder will also be responsible for supporting Vice Chancellor Office travel activities.
You will support the processing of financial claims and invoices on behalf of the APU, maintaining a clear service level agreement with departments and staff across the University to ensure bookings, claims and payments are made in a professional and timely manner.
We are looking for well organised individual with proven demonstrable experience of:
- Liaising/negotiating with a range of internal/external customers
- Administrative and office systems procedures
- A good level or competency with Microsoft Office, Key Travel Booking System, managing complex requirements simultaneously
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
- Use your own initiative and work effectively under pressure
