Who are we looking for?
We are welcoming international applications from experienced registered Adult ITU nurses within their own country, who are motivated and share our passion for creating a healthier tomorrow. You’ll need excellent communication skills, good time management as well as fulfilling the following criteria:
Completed IELTs / OET (Overall Grade 7 or equivalent) or from a majorly speaking English country.
Passed CBT
Completed NMC Application / Verification process
Significant number of years, as well as current, post-registration experience in Adult ITU
Experience of dealing with ventilated, Level 2 and Level 3 ITU patients
General Medical and Surgical Ward experience will NOT be considered at this time

Job Overview:
Joining HCA Healthcare UK, you’ll be working towards the completion of the OSCE training programme, gaining your NMC registration and the post of Registered Nurse. During this time, you’ll develop and grow while maintaining all the knowledge and skills you need to succeed here at HCA UK. At the end of the programme, you’ll be fully equipped to undertake the duties required of a Registered Nurse. Working in Adults Critical Care Unit, you will assess, plan, deliver and evaluate high standards of specialist care to ensure that our patients are cared for in a safe, compassionate and comfortable environment. This will include meeting physical, psychological and spiritual needs by effectively communicating with the patient, their families and your colleagues.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care to meet the patient and their family’s needs
- Responsible for planning and delivering appropriate care for admissions and discharges
- Undertake extended roles such as venepuncture, cannulation and phlebotomy
- Contributing to the ongoing research-based care and other practice development initiatives
- Working with junior staff and delegating and supervising the care in a fair and equitable manner
- Recognising the signs and symptoms of a deteriorating patient and initiate early interventions in a calm and co-ordinated manner
ICU at HCA Healthcare UK:
We are currently looking for qualified Nurses to join the Intensive Care Team. With our nurse to patient ratio frequently at 1:1 or 1:2, giving you the opportunity to do what you do best: Care. You will have the opportunity to work across an extremely diverse and acute patient-load covering a range of specialities, including Cardiac, Liver, Neuro & Spinal – giving you the flexibility to specialise in a specific area or keep your work varied and your skills challenged. As our units are equipped with the latest technology you have everything you need to provide specialised care to our level 2 & 3 patients.

A robust and comprehensive training programme set by our L&D Academy, who will ensure that you are prepared for OSCE exam
Salary:
As you’ll be working towards completing the OSCE and your registration when you arrive in the UK you’ll initially be employed as a Pre-Registered nurse with a basic starting salary of £28,644 per annum. During this period, you will work within your unit, while also receiving all support and training to ensure you are prepared for your OSCE. Once you’ve passed and are recognised as a fully NMC Registered Nurse your salary will be uplifted to a minimum of £34,536 per annum (these salaries exclude shift allowance which will be added depending on the type of shifts you are involved in). These are London rates.
