Job description
The International Policy Manager plays a key role in leading on the Law Society’s international rule of law and human rights work, including stakeholder engagement with international organisations and institutions active in this policy area, and contributing to the member offer in this policy area.
The Manager leads on the strategic development and effective implementation of the Lawyers at Risk and Capacity-Building programmes.
The Manager works with the Head of International and the other international policy manager to lead a busy and productive team as they work to represent and support Law Society members internationally.
What we're looking for
You will have demonstrable experience in the field of international rule of law or human rights and of working in a policy or research environment, with the ability to analyse complex issues and assess their implications for the profession and for Law Society policy.
You will have demonstrable stakeholder engagement experience, including at a senior level, and great negotiation and communication skills, with an ability to influence others, command respect and represent The Law Society credibly at a senior level.
