The A Side: A Day in The Life
The International Marketing team liaises with markets globally to uphold strategic and efficient marketing, promotion of Universal Music artist releases. In this role the Intern will be responsible for providing support to the members of the Marketing Department.
The B Side: Skills & Experience
Be Analytical
- Responsible for Weekly Evaluation Table (chart positions, sales figures, artist activity)
- Responsible for updating of weekly Executive Reports on priority artists for EVP Global Marketing
- Responsible for Weekly Global Priority Newsletter including collating and editing team notes and sending report out
- Track growth and activity on priority projects/ tracks using internal systems
- Responsible for New Music Friday Report
- Collate data into presentable tables, reports or presentations
Be Organised
- Update and manage global priority release schedule
- Support the team with administrative aspects of Global Marketing campaigns; including note taking, organising meetings and booking rooms
- Ticket Buys on behalf of Global Priority team
- Compile marketing plans for priority artists from markets around the world
Be Creative
- Attend team meetings and contribute ideas in brainstorming sessions
- Keep abreast of new music released worldwide, by following charts, liaising with int’l offices, and tracking social media activity
Person Specification
Necessary
- Proactive
- Analytical with experience of handling data
- Able to prioritise own time, meet tight deadlines and communicate updates to team
- Ambitious with a real desire to progress in the industry
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and online)
- Deep knowledge of social media landscape, on top of the latest trends and entertainment news
- Desire to operate in an international environment
- Capable of working under pressure
- Ability to create strong visual presentations in PowerPoint, Keynote etc
- Collaborative and a team player
