The A Side: A Day in The Life
Virgin Music Label and Artist Services – International is a globally label services hub offering campaign management, marketing and promotional teams who provide commercial, distribution, marketing, promotional and label admin services. We are based in London but have teams in all major territories. We pride ourselves on providing independent labels UMG-signed repertoire market benchmarked services.
We are looking to bring an intern into this team who can benefit from working within a small but energetic label services team. This role represents a fantastic opportunity to learn about the different functions in a label. It will ensure interaction with all areas including A&R, marketing, promotion, supply chain, production, and manufacturing.
We work with labels including Mixtape Madness, EGA, 10k Projects, Mushroom, Because, One Little Independent, Concord Loma Vista, Tomorrowland, LG105, Fiction and artists including D-Block Europe, LAUV, Digga D, Acraze, Internet Money, Kurt Vile, Palaye Royale, Nick Mulvey, Anson Seabra, Mall Grab and dozens more…
The B Side: Skills & Experience
Be Organised
- New release scheduling - handling complex audio and video scheduling tasks and operations with multiple departments across various partner labels
- Sourcing and correct delivery of label copy information
- Sourcing music masters and ensuring correct delivery
- Sourcing artwork and ensuring correct delivery
- Helping with pre-release audio and video copyright claims
- New label admin and set-up across various Virgin Music and UMG teams and systems
- Help accurately maintain the company’s digital, video and physical release schedules
- Weekly update of priorities and release changes to send to territories and partners
- Maintaining the artist assets Box with relevant and up to date assets for global access
- Assist in pulling label reports from various internal and external sources on behalf of the international team
- Delivery of secure music to label partners and media
- Managing weekly label newsletter communications to highlight key releases and share release schedule updates
- Ownership of catalogue, label and Virgin team database updates - update mailing lists
- Manage and attend meetings with territories and partners, updating attendees with agenda points each week and help the team maintain their diaries - drawing up agendas for label and territory calls
- Assisting in other daily tasks with the team, help solve queries and issues when brought up
Be Collaborative
- Supporting the artist and label team in organising media for our clients
- Supporting the artist and label team in creating, delivering and organising marketing assets
- Supporting the team in creation and delivery of artist promotional and travel schedules, including booking travel
- Joining meetings, calls and social events to learn all aspects of this fast-paced and collaborative business

- Excellent attention to complex detail especially around release delivery data
- Meticulous and tenacious about delivering the right results
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work round issues

- Experience of working in an a fast-paced office environment
