Job Summary:
The Bid Manager is responsible for managing and controlling the bid production process when responding to tender opportunities generated by sales teammates, in line with business quality policies and procedures. The role is also responsible for maintaining and utilising a data library of proposals and responses, prioritising proposal production in support of strategic Business objectives.

SHI has an opportunity available as EMEA Bid Manager within the UK reporting to the International EMEA Commercial Director to be based remotely or at our Milton Keynes based EMEA HQ.
The Bid Manager is responsible for managing and controlling the bid production process when responding to tender opportunities generated by sales teammates, in line with business quality policies and procedures. The role is also responsible for maintaining and utilising a data library of proposals and responses, prioritising proposal production in support of strategic Business objectives.

Including but not limited to the following:
- Maximising available resources to achieve a high quality and persuasive tender response within agreed timeframes by controlling the qualification of tenders through a bid qualification blueprint.
- Maintaining a register of qualified bids, including bid directives, wins and losses reports, ensuring that all appropriate documentation is held and controlled.
- Managing the physical production process for bid responses and communicating with the Client to ensure they are producing documentation (hard and soft) to the Client’s satisfactions and expectations.
- Collaborates closely with account teams, consulting teams and solution sales teammates to ensure accurate, appropriate and engaging information is included in each proposal.
- Suggesting and developing improvements and efficiencies within the tender responses process, continuously delivering high calibre tender responses.

- Professional bid management certification
- 3 years minimum experience working on Bids in a Commercial or Enterprise space
- Good business acumen, showing evidence of ability to make sound business decisions
- Extensive knowledge of procurement regulations
- Clear evidence of working in a pressured, time sensitive environment
- High level of written and verbal English and EMEA Language required
- Excellent time management skills
- Team leader in managing complex bid processes
- Self-motivated and strives to go the extra mile
