Job description
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
To provide a good customer service, selling products, meeting customer needs and increasing turnover for the company. To sell SRC goods & services. Build relationships with external existing customers & approach potential new customers with the aim of winning new business.
RELATIONSHIPS:
a) Responsible to: Sales Manager
b) Responsible for: None
c) Liaison with: Directors, Managers, Clients, Employees, Suppliers
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responding to incoming email and phone enquiries.
- Listening to customer requirements, creating and nurturing opportunities to make a sale.
- Developing our non-trade revenue.
- Working together with logistics staff to delivery customer satisfaction.
- Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails
- Market intelligence gathering
- Communicating at all levels within client businesses.
- Liaising with operational staff regarding deliveries and stock
- To act in accordance with the company’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures and practices highlighting any issues appropriately
- To perform directed as directed by Manager
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Personable and organised with strong communication skills
- Experience in the construction industry or sales sector
- Detail oriented
- Computer and systems literate
- Flexibility to undertake a wide variety of administration tasks
- Detail oriented
- Capable of working effectively under your own initiative when required
