Job description
This is an excellent opportunity to join the Content and Discovery Team at Aston University, working on the management, ordering and discoverability of library books, journals and databases.
This is a varied role, working with Senior Resources Assistants to ensure that library materials are ordered, added to reading lists, made discoverable, and in time discarded. You will also act as the main contact for digitising reading list materials, creating good quality scans using our book scanner.
You will need to be confident in handling bibliographic data and in using a range of systems for ordering and recording details. You will need an excellent eye for detail and to be able to work accurately and flexibly.
You will also need a customer focus, good communication skills and have strong team working skills. You will be educated to A level or equivalent standard.
