Job Summary
The Internal communications team at City Electrical Factors is a highly collaborative group that is passionate about advising, engaging, and inspiring employees to deliver on our business strategies and goals. The team works with internal stakeholders to develop and execute the internal communications strategy, deliver projects, and build and maintain important relationships.
Reporting to the Internal Communications Manager, the Internal Communications Specialist will develop, create and coordinate engaging internal communications content and provide operational internal communications support for CEF in support of the business. This role will work closely with stakeholders of all levels.
The ideal candidate is a passionate communicator and forward-thinking individual with ability to create clear, relevant, and meaningful communication across a large and diverse organisation. Additionally, a successful candidate will be highly skilled in developing strong cross functional collaboration, ensuring coordination with key partners and stakeholders.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain a full understanding of the structure and complexities of the business to ensure all internal communication solutions meet short, medium, and long-term objectives.
- Under the direction of the Internal Communications Manager, collaborate with stakeholders and business leaders to identify communications needs, providing tactical support through systems, content, and materials.
- Manage and continually evolve the internal communications platform using a data and feedback-led approach to maximise its potential and increase usage.
- Drive the day-to-day management of internal communication channels, in line with the internal communications calendar, such as weekly / monthly updates ensuring content is relevant and engaging.
- Foster and maintain relationships with identified teams within the business.
- Develop well-written, edited, and audience-appropriate communication deliverables across communication channels to support the business.
- Ensure all communications are delivered within a structure and format to ensure consistency and to achieve maximum engagement.
- Partner with teams from across the business to support in key change activity as and when required.
- Deliver a consistent employee experience and tone of voice when communicating with our teams – closely linking to our company values.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Educated to Degree level (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience planning, managing, and delivering internal communications in an organisation
- Hands on experience working with intranet systems and creating digital content desirable
- Experience of internal communications is desirable but external communications or marketing communications experience will also be considered
- MS Office (essential) and Adobe Creative Suite (desirable)
- This position will be in UK and will require up to 25% travel

Salary: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
