Summary
The Internal Communications and Engagement Partner will ensure key organisational messages are conveyed to staff and volunteers in a way which is easy to understand, which helps to embed our values and behaviours, and which uses an appropriate channel. This exciting role will write snappy and inclusive articles for our intranet, help to organise engagement events and play an important role in ensuring our people feel valued and recognised for their contribution to our fantastic charity.
About the role
The Internal Communications and Engagement Partner will be part of the People & Organisational Development Directorate (POD) and will be responsible for:
- Designing and delivering a calendar of engagement and communications activities and events designed to inform, inspire, drive positive engagement and collaboration, and celebrate achievements together.
- Supporting the delivery of the internal communications calendar, ensuring that delivery platforms are consistent, the narrative engaging, and the use of technology is appropriate.
- Creating, developing and delivering regular communications to a range of different audiences using a range of channels, writing articles for newsletters and copy for our website.
- Running engagement surveys and pulse surveys, ensuring that the insights gained contribute to decision-making and broader initiatives across the organisation.
- Working with key stakeholders to develop and deliver creative initiatives that will increase engagement and enhance our reputation as a great place to work and volunteer.
Key requirements
- Experience of writing and creating engaging communications in a variety of formats for a range of different audiences.
- Ability to synthesize complex information into simple, succinct and well-written articles that are inclusive and easy to understand.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Good stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships, influence and persuade.
- Experience of designing and delivering large scale events, both face to face and online.
- Excellent IT skills and experience of managing online channels/creating digital content.
- Sound understanding of internal engagement and its importance to organisational culture and success.
