The Internal Audit Senior Manager – Networks role is responsible for leading in the input and delivery of the internal audit annual strategy and programme of audit work in order to provide assurance over the robustness and operational effectiveness of the activities intended to manage current and future risks to the organisation. This will include: the reactive and dynamic review of the plan; setting and achieving internal audit goals; leading delivery of the audit assignments for specific CFUs / CUs (primarily BT Networks); assignment managing audit teams and direct line management of IT Audit Managers; providing specialist professional or technical expertise; monitoring internal audit performance; and reporting audit assignment output to the Networks Audit and Risk Committee and other governance forums.
BT Networks builds and manages the critical infrastructure and service platforms for BT’s products, services and internal systems globally.

What will the role involve as our Internal Audit Senior Manager?
- Supporting the Internal Audit Director in leading in the design of an annual strategy and programme of objective audit work to provide assurance over the robustness and operational effectiveness of the activities intended to manage current and future risks to the organisation.
- Reactively and dynamically reviewing the annual programme of audit work to ensure it continues to provide the appropriate focus of assurance.
- Leading delivery of the annual programme of audit assignments for Networks.
- Contributing and reporting at the Networks Audit and Risk Committee and other governance forums across the Group.
- Leading a motivated and capable team of IT Auditors to deliver the Networks audit programme with responsibility for assignment management.
What are we looking for in our Internal Audit Senior Manager? You may have a variety of the below;
- Experienced in Internal Audit at a senior level in complex organisations, with a focus on IT and networks audits.
- An ability to provide business insight and audit expertise across GIA and BT on current and emerging governance, risk management and control processes and issues.
- Ability to communicate effectively internally across large organisations with others involved in Internal Audit. Ability to communicate effectively externally to bring in outside thinking on Internal Audit;
- Strong commercial awareness with an understanding of the value drivers of the business.
