Our Finance team have an opportunity for you to join as our new Internal Audit Analyst.
In your new role, you will be part of the planning and undertaking of internal audits across the various business areas we have in Severn Trent Group.
You will play a key part in improving the management of risks to business processes and objectives throughout the organisation and this will be done by building excellent relationship’s with Managers and colleagues across the business.
Do you have a key eye for detail and the ability to influence different stakeholders?
Some of your other key accountabilities will include:
Perform high quality detailed reviews and assessments of a wide range of key business activities and the controls in place within prescribed timetables.
- Prepare high quality, concise audit reports (with clear executive summaries) for delivery to Senior Managers and Directors within the business.
Liaise effectively with Strategic Leads, Business Leads , outsourced partners and other business staff, to build good working relationships.
Identify process and control weaknesses in the management of business risks and make practical and commercial recommendations for improvement.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
We’re seeking our new Internal Audit Analyst to be comfortable coaching a sound understanding of risk and control into the employee population. While Provide value adding, ad-hoc advice and input to business process change.
To be successful in this role you’ll ideally have an understanding of the fundamentals of risk and control but this is not essential. We would want you to have an ability to assess processes though, along with assessing risks and controls and developing practical and commercial recommendations for improvement. A broad knowledge of commercial and operational activities in business will be useful as will a good understanding of risk and control ‘best practice’ techniques.

Salary of £40,000 - £50,000
