Overview
Undergraduate Intern (up to 12 months) Business Overview: Pershing, a subsidiary of The Bank of New York Mellon, provides a broad range of financial business solutions to investment banks, broker-dealers, wealth managers, financial planners and advisers across EMEA. Our organisation specialises in the provision of clearing, settlement & custody, and offers a broad range to trading services. Team Overview: The Marketing and Proposition team is a small and dynamic team located in Liverpool, London, Dublin and Jersey. The team has a wide range of responsibilities including but not limited to: operational resilience and business continuity, business and executive planning (supporting the executive team), first line of defence control and marketing and communications. The team works closely with the executive management, the Sales & Relationship Management team as well as all other areas such as finance, risk, operations and technology. Placement Responsibilities: The successful candidate will provide support on a broad range of functions that relate to client engagement and marketing across the EMEA business. Specific responsibilities include: • Provide support to the business planning and client experience teams in our transformation programme • Coordinate the client experience, strategic and marketing initiatives. Help the head of the team have oversight over the initiatives, tracking and measuring progress • Liaise with internal stakeholders such as Sales & Relationship Management and Product Management to ensure the centralisation of information • Working with the marketing and communications team o Reviewing and improving our online presence – other websites/directories etc. o Prepare Media relations centre for website o Support internal and external events o Post-event evaluation and reporting o Propose new ideas for future events o Collaborate with event stakeholders, speakers and suppliers o Take initiatives and deliver diversity, inclusion and equity initiatives • Working with the business and executive planning team o Prepare presentations for the executive team o Support the assessment of senior management to comply with SMCR o Assist on journey mapping workshops and reports o Support the contract lifecycle management Skills: The successful candidate should possess strong communications skills (written and verbal), be proficient in Word and PowerPoint as well as organisational and inter-personal skills, plus demonstrate: - Ability to coordinate both regular deliveries and ad-hoc tasks with a variety of stakeholders - Ability to multi-task - Communication and co-ordination skills in a fast-paced working environment - Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
