Role Purpose
We are looking for a commercially minded intern to join the Legal & Compliance function in the UK on a short term basis. Based in London you will be responsible for providing support to the existing team of lawyers and analysts to agree terms with clients, suppliers and third parties as well as working on M&A activities, IP and other general legal queries, litigation, investigations and disputes, AML and KYC and other relevant checks and compliance and ethics matters.
What this job involves
Review and negotiation of: Amendments to our Contracts, Letters of Engagement and General Terms
Client’s and supplier’s own contracts
NDAs
Client Codes of Conduct

Research
Proof reading
Assisting with AML and KYC and other relevant checks
Assisting with litigation, investigations and disputes
Providing wide ranging legal assistance

Sound like you? To apply you need to be / have:
Law degree graduate or GDL conversion course, or someone with extensive experience in legal environment
Ideal candidate will have commercial experience within real estate
Good knowledge of Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Outlook, Webex and Teams
Knowledge of NetDocuments and Adobe Sign
Demonstrate confidence in their ability, and anticipate what is needed
Demonstrate flexibility and ability to use initiative
Take account of others’ workloads when working together, and be ready to offer help
Develop good working relationships within the team
Excellent spoken and written communication skills
Experience of producing correspondence on behalf of the business to clients
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to prioritise workload with an attention to detail and willingness to complete projects in a timely and efficient manner
Proven organisational skills
