Purpose of the Role:

McLaren Shadow are the reigning F1 Esports Champions. In 2023 we will look to defend our titles, both

as a constructor and in support of our drivers. McLaren Shadow is also excited to be taking a big step

out in the wider gaming world, and to become a brand synonymous with all gamers – not just sim

racers.

The successful applicant of this internship will look to gain experience working alongside and supporting

the wider McLaren Shadow Esports & Gaming team to help bring these ambitions to life


Principle Accountabilities:

Throughout the gaming and esports work experience at McLaren Racing, you will assist in the following:

  • Support with creation of briefs and execution of the resulting projects
  • Support during video/photo shoots
  • Operation of Shadow gaming studio, and events within the Shadow gaming studio
  • Content and social ideation and occasional execution
  • Competitor analysis on esports team’s merch, social, twitch - analysis of the strategies of other esports and gaming teams
  • Research tasks around identifying up and coming content creators on Twitch, and other platforms
  • Analyse Shadow channels, and provide suggestions on areas to improve
  • Support on sending out merch and competition prizes
  • Analysis of gaming trends and genres
  • Support on reporting documents
