We’re looking for the next generation of talented undergraduates to join our team for an unforgettable 10-week internship. An internship at Pearson is an opportunity to bring your own unique perspective as a learner, together with your academic knowledge, technical skills, and enthusiasm, to help create products used by students like you.
As one of our interns, you will gain a comprehensive introduction to our business. You’ll be assigned to a team and work on real-life projects that bring our products and services to life. On the job training and professional development will be provided to enable you to contribute to the business. You’ll also have direct access to a senior member of the team, as each intern will be mentored to help you make the most of the ten-week program.

What Does the Internship Program Offer?
Successful candidates will spend 10 weeks working with our technology teams.
You will be paid for the duration of your internship. The internship begins on Monday, June 5th and ends Friday, August 11th.
Job Description
As a Business Management Intern within our team, you'll get to work with highly skilled professionals on a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Supporting the Technology Business Management team with understanding and articulating data into meaningful reporting across our Digital & Technology strategy, headcount, software asset management and time reporting.
- Coordinating data capture & design, new data process improvement opportunities, automating existing manual data exercises and cleansing and filtering of old data.
- Identifying, gathering, analysing data, and making their insights accessible to the company through easy-to-understand graphs, charts, tables, and reports.
- Structuring and conducting interviews to gather business knowledge on a subject area, including coordination between multiple teams around planning and deliverables in order to translate business needs into data models that support long term solutions.
- Creating and managing complex dashboards, using insights from data gathering to build advanced visualizations and insights (using Tableau / PowerBI)
- Working with other business departments to streamline data movements that have a direct impact to our business reporting tools
- Developing a comprehensive understanding of your job details to provide the value output to the business stakeholders.
- Working on adhoc elements of general business management activities needed with the focus of streamlining and fully automating tasks going forward.
Minimum Requirements
- Strong data modelling skills with solid BI experience using, Tableau, Power BI, Excel
- Experience with large data sets and the ability to articulate these into data visualisations and presentations
- Proven experience of business partnering with multiple stakeholders
- Workflow experience / Power Automate (MS Forms / Smartsheet’s)
- Prior experience manipulating data sets using SQL
- 3-5 years’ experience
- Interns should be within commutable distance of office location.
Education
- Computer Systems / Business information Systems (Bach)
- Preferred Tableau Desktop Specialist
