Job description
Atkins is looking to appoint a Graduate Level Interior Designer to join our busy team of interior designers based in Exeter. The candidate must be enthusiastic about commercial design, interested in current design trends, highly motivated and be able to communicate their ideas effectively. They must also have the ability to work well within a team, highly self-motivated and possess great time keeping skills to assist in achieving deadlines whilst always looking to deliver a high standard of work.
Key responsibilities for this role:
- Working in the architectural studio on projects across multiple sectors.
- Contribute to projects that are innovative and creative in their response to the client brief.
- Working as part of a team to produce detailed 2D and 3D design drawings and concept sketches, using software and hand drawing skills.
- With the support of senior colleagues, produce client presentations and attend client meetings as required.
- Carry out data analysis tasks to understand future workplace requirements for a client.
- Keep up to date with emerging workplace trends.
Skills and Experience:
- Degree level qualification in Architecture, Interior Design, or related discipline.
- Excellent design and spatial planning skills.
- Fluency in Adobe Suite applications such as Photoshop and InDesign and Microsoft Office.
- Technical knowledge in using REVIT to produce drawing.
- Ability to work well within a team, efficiently under pressure and to tight deadlines and able to cope with change e.g., to brief, programme or role.
- An understanding of UK Building Regulations.

This role would suit a Graduate-level Interior Designer who is interested in developing their career within a forward-thinking Interior Design team. You will report to an Interior Designer who, with the support of the wider national Architecture & Master planning practice, will support you to develop your career within Atkins.
