Job Advert: Interim Finance Manager - Multi Academy Trust

Duration: 3-6 months

Are you an experienced Finance Manager looking for a new challenge in the education sector?
I am currently working with a well established Multi Academy Trust, operating schools in the West Midlands region. Their mission is to provide exceptional education and support services to our students, enabling them to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take charge of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the Trust.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing regular reports to the executive leadership team.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, reporting standards, and funding requirements.
- Manage cash flow, making recommendations for improvements and efficiency.
- Oversee the Trust's payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes.
- Collaborate with budget holders to support them in making informed financial decisions.
- Lead and mentor finance staff, ensuring the smooth running of the finance department.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager, preferably within the education sector or a similar nonprofit environment.
- Strong knowledge of financial management principles, practices, and regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- A track record of successfully managing budgets and delivering financial targets.
- Familiarity with accounting software and financial reporting tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
