Job Description.

Our client is seeking an Interim Finance Manager for an immediate start.

The successful candidate should have recent NHS Finance experience and will be available to commit to a minimum of 12 months.

Duties:

  • Manage a team of finance staff
  • Identify and monitor of cost improvement programme schemes (CIPs)
  • Ensure any budget changes are properly approved
  • Ensure the general ledger accurately reflects delivery of CIP
  • Produce costing information for budget managers to support the workforce planning process
  • Ensure Month End Reporting adheres to timetable
  • Work with cost centre managers to analyse annual budget and prepare forecasts
  • Lead the development and reporting of frequent financial KPIs and alert Division management of significant variances from targets
  • Prepare and review journals and lead the reporting for the closing financial position
  • Work directly with staff at all levels within the Divisions to support them in developing 18 month rolling forecasts and 3 year plans
  • Provide analytical support throughout the Divisions to support effective management of resources
  • Lead investigations on complex financial enquiries and ensuring appropriate assistance and advice is provided.
  • Support and manage the monthly timetable and identify/report key risks and opportunities
  • Maintain a schedule analysing key items reconciling the year-on-year bridging items

Essential

  • CCAB Part Qualified Accountant
  • Experience of working within the NHS
  • Proven track record of managing staff
