Main Purpose of Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Nottinghamshire Police for the post of Intelligence Researcher.
This post sits within the Intelligence Analyst hub and you will work alongside the Intelligence Analysts to identify emerging or changing threats, risks and harms in key crime areas. This will include the production of regular threat assessments, producing detailed research profiles, attending thematic meetings, taking responsibility for workstreams, and producing ad-hoc work and products as required. This work will be at the heart of police and partner aspirations to reduce crime and make Nottinghamshire safer.
You will be adept at researching, collating and evaluating information as well as being a skilled report writer. You will be a proactive self-starter who is capable of effective communication with internal and external officers of all levels.
Skilled in the use of computer-based systems, you will have good knowledge and experience of using databases, information processing and presentation software.
Successful applicants will be required to proactively form productive and supportive relationships with key partners.
The role is ideally suited to a pro-active and dynamic individual who is comfortable working to specified deadlines within a fluid environment. Excellent written and oral communication skills are vital to the role. The successful candidate will find this an ideal introduction to working within a police environment and as well as being a member of a supportive Intelligence Analysis function. Training and development will be provided.
The post holder will be required to work in a confidential environment and be vetted to Management Level. High levels of integrity and attention to detail are essential for the role.
