Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Integration Analyst with expertise in building Azure Synapse pipelines and a strong proficiency in Azure Data Factory. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of data integration processes, database technologies, and data migration techniques. Knowledge and experience in Azure services and a working understanding of cloud-based data solutions are crucial for success in this role. This role will work with the Manager of Data & Integrations and will work on the development and execution of an Enterprise Data Strategy. The role will involve a lot of hands-on development.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement data integration solutions using Azure Synapse pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into target systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data integration requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Build and configure Azure Data Factory pipelines, activities, and data flows to orchestrate and automate data movement and transformation processes.
Perform data profiling, cleansing, and validation to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality across integrated systems.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data integration processes, ensuring efficient data movement and transformation with minimal downtime.
Collaborate with data architects and developers to design and implement data models, schemas, and structures for efficient data storage and retrieval.
Conduct data mapping and transformation exercises to align data sources with target schemas and formats.
Stay updated with the latest advancements and best practices in data integration, Azure services, and cloud-based data solutions.
Identify and mitigate data integration risks and issues, ensuring adherence to data governance and security standards.
Provide technical guidance and support to team members, assisting with complex data integration challenges and issues.

Qualifications:

3 or more years experience building Azure Synapse pipelines and strong expertise in Azure Data Factory.
Sound understanding of data integration principles, data migration processes, and ETL methodologies.
Proficiency in working with databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) and data formats (e.g., CSV, JSON, XML).
Experience in designing and implementing efficient data storage and retrieval strategies.
Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and exposure to Azure services (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Blob Storage).
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with data governance, data quality, and data security practices is a plus.
Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
Relevant certifications are a plus.

This position could be offered at different levels for candidates who qualify with a combination of advanced levels of education and/or years of experience. The salary range will adjust along with the level of the role to match the person’s relevant experience and/or education level.
