Looking for a role with real-world impact? At Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S), we're seeking an Integrated Logistics Support Manager (ILSM) to join a dedicated team focused on Operational Delivery (OD) outputs.
As a member of the OD team, you will provide reports, guidance, and assurance activities across the Rotary Wing Delivery Teams and the Operating Centre management chain. Working in a positive and collaborative environment to ensure effective and efficient support across multiple air platforms.
You will be a self-starter with effective communication skills, Integrated Logistics support and Through Life Support knowledge. You will be collaborating with OD colleagues, Support Solution experts and other OD teams across DE&S delivering support to the UK’s armed forces.

You can choose to base yourself in our offices at Yeovil BA20 2YB or Abbey Wood, Bristol BS34 8JH. As we offer flexible working, you will have opportunities for some working from home, but you will be required in the office at least once a week.
Depending on your chosen base location, there will also be requirements to travel to the other main operating location, either our Head office in Abbey Wood or Yeovil, on a regular basis. Travel and subsistence costs will be covered.

Please note: Salary offers above the £39,500 - £42,500 range will only be made based on exceptional performance at interview.
Responsibilities
· Providing accurate support information and data insights to continually improve the availability and influencing effective post design activities for platforms or the maintenance solutions.
· Communicating and collaborating with Engineering, Supply Chain, Commercial, Industry and Commands in managing the in-service availability, reliability, maintainability, and sustainability to meet training and operational service requirements.
· Ensuring support governance regimes are implemented as part of Through Life Support (TLS) management for evaluating and implementing changes to the Air System to its out of service date.
· Developing a Community of Interest for TLS sub-function within the Operating Centre (OC) area of responsibility, to promote good practice, learning from experience and dissemination of TLS information.
· Providing support to the Rotary Wing Delivery Teams in Support Assurance, liaising with Assurance Subject Matter Experts, and developing assurance statements based on relevant reports and documentation.
· Providing support assurance to procurement/acquisition Decision Panels.
· Understanding complex support solutions to provide valid and reasoned statements to senior managers and forums, based on the evidence provided in the Support Solution Reports or In-Service Reports.
Person specification
To be successful with your application, you'll need to show that you meet the following essential criteria:
· Experience in evaluating support related reviews for improving support and resolving disputes.
· Evidence of stakeholder management, internal and external at all levels.
· Ability in producing and scrutinising reports for complex issues and trends for communicating recommendations and alternative approaches.
· Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams).
It would also be great if you can demonstrate any of the following desirable criteria:
· Knowledge of the Support Solution Envelope used by Defence.
· Support engineering, logistic support or asset management related affiliated membership with a professional body.
In addition to the responsibilities above, the following technical competences and behaviours will be assessed at interview:
· Review, Validate and Assure Support Solutions - Practitioner Level
· Governance and Performance Reporting – Practitioner level.
· Communicating and influencing – CSBC3
· Making Effective decisions – CSBC3
