Do you have strong analytical skills and commerciality to join a fast-paced insurance environment? Our Delegated Authority (DA) and Managing General Agent (MGA) partnerships within our Retail business have grown substantially, and as a result, we are looking for a Portfolio Analyst to join our Portfolio Management team.

In this market facing role, you’ll have the opportunity to make an immediate impact on the business. Using analytical skills to deliver insights, and assess opportunities within our Schemes portfolio, you will contribute to the profitable growth within Zurich.
Building on your previous experience in an analytical role, if you have the right mindset and attitude, we will provide the tools for you to take your skills to the next level. We are also passionate about personal and professional development, so can support qualifications such as the CII or Data Apprenticeships (or other opportunities related to the role).
Many of our employees work flexibly in a variety of different ways, including part-time, flexible hours, job share, an element of working from home or compressed hours. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full-time. Please talk to us at interview about the flexibility you may need.
What will you be doing?
- Contribute to the delivery of our Scheme P&L targets through recommending improvements to our pricing, underwriting and proposition
- Demonstrate increasing knowledge of analytical techniques alongside commercial insurance knowledge to be able to provide regular insight and analysis from large datasets
- Demonstrate increasing knowledge of market developments, distribution channels and our competitive position
- Build, develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships with key stakeholders of our DA/MGA propositions
- Contribute to a positive, diverse and supportive team culture.
What are we looking for?

- Experience working in the Insurance industry
- Strong commercial skills with the confidence to present externally when required
- Experience in applying analytical techniques to data sets to gain insight into trends and form recommendations
- Experience with coding (R, SQL) would be advantageous, but if you have the energy and commitment to learn, we can support and train you in these!
- Demonstrate a strong desire for learning and self-development
- Strong communication skills
As an inclusive employer we want to ensure that all candidates feel comfortable and are able to perform at their best during the interview. You’ll have the opportunity to let us know of any reasonable adjustment or practical support needed when you apply.
