Position: Engineering Instructor
Location: Worcester, United Kingdom
Pay Rate: £17.90 per hour
As an Engineering Instructor, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality training and education in the field of engineering. Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate learning and development among students, helping them gain the necessary skills and knowledge to pursue successful careers in the engineering industry. This role will require a strong grasp of engineering principles, excellent communication skills, and a passion for teaching.
Key Responsibilities:
" Contribute to well sequenced curriculum planning for the specified apprenticeship programme, in liaison with line managers and colleagues
" Create or refresh delivery planning documentation, such as schemes of work and lesson plans, to meet the training needs of customers and to conform to the requirements of external agencies such as awarding bodies
" Update training delivery skills, through an ongoing CPD programme
" Review initial assessment records of all relevant learners to ensure understanding of learning and support needs
" Motivate and support learners to optimise their potential
" Give timely and constructive feedback to learners, both in delivery sessions and through written or verbal means, when work is submitted for tutor review/assessment
" Deal with behavioural and conduct issues constructively, consistently and fairly
" Track and record progress and attendance, using specified documentation and/or software platforms
" Prepare learners for assessment
Requirements:
" Level 3 or above qualification in the relevant engineering specialism (advantageous)
" At least 5 years' experience in a Manufacturing/Engineering workplace
" Prior experience as an engineering instructor, teacher, or tutor is desirable but not mandatory
" In-depth knowledge of engineering principles and concepts, depending on the specific field of instruction
'' Hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical knowledge
" Excellent written and verbal communication skills
" Excellent interpersonal skills
" Proficient in the use of IT including Microsoft Office software
" Patience and the ability to explain complex topics in a clear and understandable manner.
" Strong organizational and time-management skills.
" A passion for education and helping students succeed in their engineering careers.
