Job description
Worthdale Community Center is seeking energetic and enthusiastic basketball instructors who have experience working
with children and teens. Worthdale Community Center will offer programs in skill development, clinics, leagues, and camps
for children and teenagers; the ideal candidate will have experience working with children and teenagers in at least two of
those categories.
Worthdale Community Center Basketball Instructor should be attentive and committed to the well-being of all young
basketball players. S/he should be committed to providing and delivering an inclusive introduction to the skills and
development. S/he will create basketball lessons that feature step by step guidance in a variety of basketball programs,
specifically tailored to the age(s) of the young players served through the program. Responsibilities also include ensuring
the safety and well-being of our students, helping to maintain an overall enjoyable environment for all participants,
managing participant behavior, establishing clear objectives and goals for the program, and recommending materials and
equipment needed for the programs well in advance of the program date.
