The MKTYP 8b: MKTYP University Writing Seminar course is the second course in a two-part series of courses to introduce students to college writing. The UWS course introduces students to the power of writing as a means of communication and a process of thinking and understanding. As students complete a series of writing assignments, they will engage in a process of reading, drafting, reviewing and revising, working in peer groups and individually with their instructors.
The successful candidate will be an innovative instructor responsible for teaching one topic-based writing seminar in the Fall of 2023 and Spring 2024. They will develop a topic for this course with an emphasis on inter-disciplinarity.
