Compensation

    Base Salary Range: $84K – $117K • Offers Equity

The base salary range represents the minimum and maximum of the salary range for this position based at our San Francisco headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors, including individual proficiency, anticipated performance, and the location of the selected candidate. Our base salary is just one component of Ironclad’s competitive total rewards package, which also includes equity awards (a new hire grant, along with opportunities for additional awards throughout your tenure), competitive health and wellness benefits, and a commitment to career growth and development.

Ironclad is on a mission to power the world’s contracts, and our Customer Success team is a critical part of making that mission a reality. Reporting to the Manager, Learning Experience Design, the Learning Experience Designer will create targeted learning experiences that provide our user with the information they need to implement, adopt, and optimize their use of our software - reducing customer effort and decreasing time to value. You are an out of the box thinker, who is comfortable designing learning experiences across multiple delivery methods, including VILT, video, eLearning, in-product guidance, workshops, and more.

The ideal candidate for this role is an experienced instructional designer with a SaaS background, who is ready to be part of building our Learning Experience Design team from the ground up at a high-growth company. Your scope of work will be split among core customer needs, enabling our customers in the Mid-Market segment, and partner training. As the second Learning Experience Design hire, this is an opportunity not just to build amazing content, but to help build the processes and systems we need to scale as we grow the team and our offerings.

What you will be doing

  • Collaborate closely with product, CS, other designers, and teams across the org to research how to enable customers more effectively
  • Develop a keen understanding of learning needs throughout the customer journey and tailor deliverables to those roles and use cases
  • Design and build enablement materials, which include but are not limited to live training, on-demand video and written content, on-the-job resources, and other dynamic or interactive experiences
  • Measure the success of your enablement initiatives through assessment, customer data, and other inputs
  • Own and maintain a library of enablement materials on an ongoing basis as the product quickly evolves

What we’re looking for

  • 2+ years experience working in Learning Experience Design or related field, strong preference for previous experience at a SaaS company
  • Proven understanding of agile development, ability to test and iterate based on customer experience, especially in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities
  • Strong empathy and desire to understand customer needs and goals. Not afraid to roll up your sleeves and dig into data or talk to customers/SMEs and understand the need
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information in a relevant, accessible way
  • Very collaborative team player who fosters strong working relationships across teams
  • Applied knowledge of learning theory, psychology, customer communication, or another related field
  • Demonstrated ability in visual design
  • Demonstrated ability in video editing
  • HTML and CSS proficiency preferred

    Benefits:
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance

  • 401k

  • Wellness reimbursement

  • Take what you need vacation policy

  • Generous parental leave for both primary and secondary caregivers
