The ideal candidate for this role is an experienced instructional designer with a SaaS background, who is ready to be part of building our Learning Experience Design team from the ground up at a high-growth company. Your scope of work will be split among core customer needs, enabling our customers in the Mid-Market segment, and partner training. As the second Learning Experience Design hire, this is an opportunity not just to build amazing content, but to help build the processes and systems we need to scale as we grow the team and our offerings.
What you will be doing
- Collaborate closely with product, CS, other designers, and teams across the org to research how to enable customers more effectively
- Develop a keen understanding of learning needs throughout the customer journey and tailor deliverables to those roles and use cases
- Design and build enablement materials, which include but are not limited to live training, on-demand video and written content, on-the-job resources, and other dynamic or interactive experiences
- Measure the success of your enablement initiatives through assessment, customer data, and other inputs
- Own and maintain a library of enablement materials on an ongoing basis as the product quickly evolves
What we’re looking for
- 2+ years experience working in Learning Experience Design or related field, strong preference for previous experience at a SaaS company
- Proven understanding of agile development, ability to test and iterate based on customer experience, especially in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities
- Strong empathy and desire to understand customer needs and goals. Not afraid to roll up your sleeves and dig into data or talk to customers/SMEs and understand the need
- Ability to effectively communicate technical information in a relevant, accessible way
- Very collaborative team player who fosters strong working relationships across teams
- Applied knowledge of learning theory, psychology, customer communication, or another related field
- Demonstrated ability in visual design
- Demonstrated ability in video editing
