Are you passionate about designing effective eLearning content that delivers good results? Do you have demonstrable experience of designing and developing eLearning content?

We are recruiting for a new Instructional Designer and Content Developer. This exciting role is for an individual looking for an opportunity to explore their creative skills in assessing, scoping, designing, and developing effective eLearning content and digital resources.

Dogs Trust is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK with a nationwide network of rehoming centres and charity shops. Last year, Dogs Trust centres cared for over 9,000 dogs; we never put a healthy dog down.

Reporting to the eLearning Manager, the successful candidate will work closely with the internal team and other stakeholders across the charity to understand training requirements and deliver an engaging digital learning experience to staff. You will also manage the content on the VLE which will include responsibilities such as course management, creation of quizzes and assignments, learner development pathway mapping, learner group management and assisting the IT and VLE officer in improvement and platform upgrading tasks.

To be successful in this role you will be educated to degree level (or equivalent), with previous experience of designing and developing eLearning content. You will have proficiency in Moodle or any proprietary LMS and significant experience of working with subject matter experts and other key stakeholders with a strong customer focus.

The successful candidate will join a busy, hardworking and professional HR team which is committed to delivering a first-class service to the charity and its 1,400 employees across the full range of Human Resource activities. Although based within the HR team they will be required to work closely with the IT team and in collaboration with other stakeholders across the business.
