Family learning activities can also be specifically designed to enable parents to learn how to support their children’s learning.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Parenting and Family Learning Assistant within the Parenting and Family Learning Team. The team delivers services across Perth and Kinross offering a range of support. This post 21.6 hours per week, full year position. Working times may vary including evening and weekends.
This role will focus on supporting families with older children and the delivery of Solihull Approach training. Support for families will include planning, delivery and monitoring of evidence-based parenting and family learning programmes this will include: Teen Triple P, Speakeasy and Incredible Years.

The Individual
You must have experience of working in a relevant discipline such as Social Care, Community Education, Health, Social Work or Education.
You must have experience and skills in engaging and support parents individually or within a group setting. The successful candidate should be trained in at least one of the following evidence based programmes:
Incredible Years (Basic or School Age),
Teen Triple P,
Fear Less,
Speakeasy.
You must have knowledge and understanding of child development and of working in partnership with other services/organisations.
You must have good communication skills and be able to develop appropriate relationships with families.
You must be enthusiastic and highly motivated and able to share this with service users.
You must have a flexible approach and be able to work evenings and weekends if required.
