Quality Inspector
Gloucester
Circa £25,000
EMBS Engineering is in partnership with a leading engineering business located in Gloucester. Renowned for their expertise in the production of specialist components through low volume manufacturing, they have established themselves as industry leaders. Building on their exceptional track record of surpassing annual sales targets and achieving substantial growth, our client is seeking a skilled individual to join them on a permanent basis as a Quality Inspector.
What does the role involve?
Your primary responsibilities will include conducting visual, cosmetic, and dimensional inspections of products, as well as performing other testing criteria based on defined risk factors. You will identify and report quality issues, assist in investigations, maintain accurate records, ensure adherence to critical dimensions and job documentation, monitor measurement equipment, liaise with production teams, and support quality audits.
What experience do you need?
- Strong quality inspection background
- Ability to perform inspection activities (both visual and dimensional) using manual measuring equipment
- Experience of carrying out First off and Final Inspection
- Confidence identifying non-confirming products
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communications skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Internal auditing experience would be desirable
