Overview:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for Inspection Administrators to join Education Scotland at an exciting time.
The Scrutiny Directorate within Education Scotland is responsible for delivering the Annual Programme of Scrutiny which sets out the external evaluation that HM Inspectors of Education will carry out each year across all sectors. The Scrutiny Inspection Administration Team is responsible for providing the administration support for the delivery of this programme.
This role can be based out of one of our Education Scotland office locations in Glasgow, Livingston, Dundee or Aberdeen.

You will be expected to remain in post for a minimum of three years unless successful at gaining promotion to a higher Band or Grade.

The Scrutiny Directorate within Education Scotland is responsible for delivering the Annual Programme of Scrutiny which sets out the external evaluation that HM Inspectors of Education will carry out each year across all sectors. The Scrutiny Inspection Administration Team is responsible for providing the administration support for the delivery of this programme.

- Plan and manage workload using allocation of inspection/review activity.
Administer all aspects of inspection/review activity from notification of the establishment through to final publication of the inspection report.
Update and maintain systems (Excel and databases) throughout the process to ensure that progress of inspection/review is captured for reporting purposes.
Update and maintain the records management system for each inspection/review.
Raise, track and receipt Purchase Orders (EASEbuy).
Respond to queries from internal and external stakeholders including Directors of Education and Headteachers etc. regarding the process of inspection and/or consultation. These queries may be via telephone, email or webchat.

Essential Criteria:
1. Experience of working in a fast-paced office environment, proficient in the use of Outlook, Word, and Excel IT packages.
2. Excellent verbal and communication skills, with the ability to build good working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and collaborate effectively.
3. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage your workload. Along with using you own initiative to balance competing priorities and ensure deadlines are met.
4. Ability to collate different forms of data to provide appropriate information to produce reports and recommendations.
