Type: Full Time
Service Line: Women in Deal Advisory - First Year Insight
Job description
Our Women in Deal Advisory Insight programme is aimed primarily at women who want to discover more about a career in Deal Advisory at KPMG.
In Deal Advisory we help our clients to buy, sell, fund, fix and partner with confidence, taking them from an initial idea right through to delivery. It’s all about blending our deep sector expertise with our execution skills and working with teams from the wider firm to harness diverse thinking and help each client make the right decisions.
During this 3-day programme, you’ll have the opportunity to network with inspirational women from our Deal Advisory teams, gain an insight into the type of work they do and hear first-hand what working life is like as part of our inclusive teams at KPMG.
We’ll empower you to develop your commercial awareness and gain an understanding of the challenges businesses face across the deal and economic cycle. You’ll also build valuable skills you can use across everything you do in the future from making the best impact with new contacts, in meetings, and in interviews, to effectively navigating your early career and reaching your full potential.
Whilst on the programme, you’ll have the opportunity to take an assessment, and if successful, you could secure a position on our 2024 Deal Advisory Vacation programme in the office you have applied to.
Candidates must be in their first year at university (or second year if you’re on a 4 year course). We’re looking for individuals from any degree discipline who are curious, ambitious and passionate about a career in business.
At KPMG, everyone brings a unique perspective, and we want to ensure that you have the best opportunity to demonstrate your potential. We’ve designed our application process to assess everyone’s potential in the context of their educational and personal circumstances to ensure that you have the skills to succeed at KPMG.
You’ll generally be expected to demonstrate the following (*or equivalents). However, if you do not meet all the below, and are a few grades or points short, then we would still encourage you to apply, as you will be given the option to provide additional information that enables us to assess your application and potential in the context of your socio-economic background and/or any extenuating circumstances. You can find out more here.
- Grade 5 or B GCSE* Maths
- Grade 5 or B GCSE* English Language
- 120 UCAS points* from your ‘top’ 3 grades, excluding General Studies under the 2017 tariff point system at A Level (300 UCAS points pre-2017)
- On track to achieve a 2:1 undergraduate degree in any discipline.
Throughout the recruitment process we will be looking to learn more about your strengths.
To be successful on this programme, you will be required to demonstrate the strengths that we look for at KPMG.

As the insight programme is not that long, the focus for you will be to ensure every second counts. It's an opportunity to learn new skills, enhance your CV, learn about the world of work and, importantly, get your foot in the door of one of the leading professional services firms. And if you're inspired by the time you spend with us here and go on to join us full-time once you’ve graduated, you’ll get access to exemplary training and development to help you thrive.
This is a 3 day paid Insight programme and will be run 27th – 29th June 2023 inclusive. You will be paid a salary equivalent to the living wage salary. The programme will consist of skills sessions, talks from our Deals teams, a chance to shadow a graduate and a virtual assessment day. The programme is likely to be a hybrid programme with both in-person and virtual sessions. Full details will be provided closer to the programme start to successful applicants.
If you are made a Vacation conversion offer this will be for the same location you applied to complete the Women in Deal Advisory Insight programme.
