Job title: Insight Data Analyst (Part-Time, Job-Share or Full-Time)

The opportunity:
This is a great opportunity to join our growing Retail Underwriting Performance Team. We are looking for someone with strong data, analytical and commercial skills to join a fast-paced insurance environment. Our Retail portfolio has grown substantially, having expanded our suite of eTraded products and delegated authority scheme arrangements and MGA offerings.
Retail is a very dynamic area of the Zurich business, so we are looking to recruit a highly motivated and passionate individual. In this role you will contribute to the development, production, and analysis of data, using appropriate data feeds to create actionable business insight to support the profitable management of our portfolios.
You will have the opportunity to make an immediate impact on the business, by using analytical skills to bring the right insights and opportunities into our Retail products and ensure continued profitable growth within Zurich.
Building on your previous experience in an analytical/data role, if you have the right mindset and attitude, we will provide the tools for you to take your skills to the next level.

Key responsibilities:
- Proactive ownership of the development, production and analysis of data insights and ongoing maintenance of published reporting and dashboards to key stakeholders across the business.
- Contribute to the delivery of our Retail P&L targets through providing meaningful performance insight across the Retail portfolio’s including recommendations and independent challenge to our underwriting, pricing, and proposition.
- Demonstrate increasing knowledge of analytical techniques alongside commercial insurance knowledge to be able to provide regular insight and analysis from large datasets.
- Support the data quality agenda through enhanced MI capabilities and the production of data quality reports.
- Build, develop, and maintain strong internal and external relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
- Contribute to a positive, diverse, and supportive team culture.
Your skills and experience:
- Strong numerical ability and data manipulation and visualisation skills.
- Strong commercial skills with the confidence to present internally/externally when required.
- Experience in applying analytical techniques to data sets to gain insight into trends and form recommendations.
- Experience with coding (R, SQL) Excel, Qlik, PowerBI.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
