As our new Insight Analyst, you will be focused on delivering analysis of portfolio performance, customer behaviour and process effectiveness to build understanding and impact business performance. The team works closely with Operations departments and other Risk teams to ensure findings are understood and resulting decisions put into practice.
Key responsibilities include:
- Project based delivery of statistical and empirical analytics.
- Data warehouse interrogation, extraction, collection, and manipulation using Python, SQL, and Excel.
- Statistical analysis and data mining to agreed objectives and deadlines.
- Support the delivery of a Test and Learn environment for Collections Strategy providing effective measurement of trials using pre-agreed key performance indicators.
- Develop prototype reports to monitor portfolio performance, customer behaviour and process effectiveness.
- Provide peer review support to ensure the accuracy of analysis delivered by other members of the Insight group.
- Clear communication of results, insight and recommendations using effective supporting material.
- Be a subject matter expert on data, operational analysis, and customer behaviour.
- Clear project planning and management to ensure work is prioritised and agreed deadlines met.
- Documentation of all work undertaken and maintenance of the team’s Learning Log.
- Monitoring of impact of recommendations made to the business following their implementation.
- Work with other teams and departments to ensure results are accurate, understanding is correct, and resulting actions are implemented correctly across the business.
Things we need from you:
- Knowledge of statistical analysis, data mining and modelling techniques.
- Highly numerate and detail oriented.
- Understanding that the statistical techniques are to be used to improve commercial value.
- Knowledge of Python/SQL and statistical modules.
- PC literate. MS Excel to an advanced level.
- Experience of working with large data sets, particularly with customer and transactional data.
