Sponsorship Sales Executive – Large Scale B2B Tech Conference & Exhibition
London – Hybrid working (3 days in the office) + Travel
Base Salary £35,000+ Uncapped Commission + Benefits
This International B2B Conference & Exhibition events creator is recruiting an ambitious B2B Sponsorship Sales professional to join a flagship events portfolio to sell sponsorship and exhibition space for a growing Tech Event that attracted over 5K attendees in 2022. This Sponsorship Sales role offers lots of opportunities for growth and uncapped financial rewards.
The Person
For this Sponsorship Sales Executive role, we are looking for a Graduate that’s looking for an early career position. You will have 1+ year of transferable solutions based B2B sales skills possibly gained in a recruitment agency, media sales, or tech sales role. You will be a skilled researcher, communicator, writer, networker, and relationship builder.
Experienced and capable of using LinkedIn and CRMs such as Salesforce or alike.
You will have a proven track record managing the sales process from start to finish – using your own initiative to source clients, understanding client needs, creating the best solution, and closing sales.
For this position, we are looking for a proactive and commercial sales person with professional writing skills, who is articulate with excellent attention to detail.
You will be confident and capable of setting up and independently leading meetings with blue-chip companies with a comfortable, calm, and tenacious approach.
The Role
The aim of this Sponsorship Sales Executive role is to generate Sponsorship and Exhibition sales for a growing flagship Tech conference & exhibition. You will be on the phone, in meetings (physical and digital) a lot, and will be required to attend overseas sales trips. The role is fast based, challenging, and offers lots of opportunities for personal, career, and financial growth.
As a Sponsorship Sales Executive, you will be responsible for:
- Lead generation - researching and identifying new clients that are a great fit to sponsor / exhibit at the event
- Use a solutions and consultative led sales process – SPIN selling skills advantageous
- Create intelligent, needs-based proposals for each client
- Close and administer sponsors and exhibitors
- Working to targets & KPIs – this role comes with an annual sales target (focused on both new business and repeat bookings) and weekly KPIs for the number of proposals, contracts, meetings and social media posts delivered
- Working closely with the event Project Director to create new Sponsor opportunities
- Developing strong sector knowledge and relationships, become an industry expert
- Contributing to overall event business plan and project management, sharing insights
- Work with Conference Producers to create meaningful sponsor involvement
- Maintaining a team focused, supportive and collaborative approach to working with colleagues
- Have a regular presence on Social Media (predominantly LinkedIn), posting relevant professional and engaging content to develop your profile & network
- To attend events and manage your sponsors and exhibitors on-site at events
