Our ambitious team in Jewson Woking (GU21 4NQ) are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Internal Sales Executive who prides themselves on delivering first class service and aspires to really make a difference.

This role is working with Jewson Woking as part of the STARK Group. We are a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe. We connect suppliers of heavy building materials with the professional craftsmen who build, renovate, and maintain the cities of tomorrow.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 7.30am-5.00pm and alternate Saturdays 8:00am-12pm

Is this role right for me?

In this exciting role, you will be responsible for contributing to and exceeding customer expectations whilst supporting achievement of sales and profit targets through upselling and cross-selling products. Some specifics we’re looking for in a candidate:

  • Demonstrable sales experience, both face to face and over the phone
  • A proactive, curious, and enthusiastic attitude
  • IT literate
  • Industry knowledge or previous experience working in a builders merchant would be ideal but not a must
  • A driver's license would be ideal but not a must

What will I be doing?

An Internal Sales Executive is an essential role within the branch network, you will have the opportunity to experience a bit of everything from working in the branch. This role has a strong focus on sales and customer service, so it is great for someone who loves to build relationships with customers both face to face and over the phone. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include the below:

  • Get to know our product lines and services in order to make the most of all customer interactions in line with our Jewson values
  • Develop great relationships with new and existing customers (both face to face and over the phone), understanding their needs and providing proactive advice and solutions so that you can deliver the best experience possible
  • Dealing with lapsed accounts
  • Generating sales with new and existing customers
  • Use our in-house systems to process customer orders, organise delivery times, and keep customers updated throughout their journey
  • Keep the branch and yard looking clean and tidy, to make a great first impression on our customers
  • Maintain stock levels, carrying out regular stock counts
  • Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement
