Main duties & responsibilities

As an Internal Sales Trainee, you will be required to provide an efficient response to incoming customer enquiries and orders, building a rapport and credibility with our customers.

The successful candidate will be joining a well-established and experienced team, helping to provide excellent service to our customers through the sale of goods across our product range.

This role is excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career in sales in the engineering industry.

Key responsibilities may include:

• Efficient response to incoming phone/email enquiries and orders

• Build rapport with customers, Hayley branch staff and suppliers to establish credibility when providing product and services information

• Prepare quotes for customers and help provide assistance to Hayley branch staff on fastener items

• Utilise Hayley Group’s IT system to accurately identify, source and price items, as well as record enquiries, sales orders and raise purchase orders

• Sourcing and purchasing stock to help maintain stock levels

• Use knowledge to obtain non-stock items

• Take personal responsibility for timely and accurate fulfilment of customer requirements

Knowledge & Skills requirements

The ideal candidate will have following key skills:

• Experience with fasteners and similar products would be beneficial, however is not essential

• Proficient in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel

• Professional level of verbal and written communication skills, as well as good numerical skills

• Excellent time managements skills
