Within SUEZ, the Smart & Environmental Solutions (SES) Business Line aims to accelerate the development and deployment of smart and environmental solutions on a global scale: digital solutions for water and waste, solutions for air quality and climate, for the performance of drinking water networks and wastewater systems, as well as for environmental quality monitoring. The teams in this Business Line contribute, along with the Group's geographical entities, to supporting local authorities and companies in their environmental transition, as well as citizens to facilitate their access to a more sustainable consumption.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
Contract type: Permanent
Working Pattern: Full time 40 hours, Monday – Friday
Location based: Lenham Heath
Salary: £23,466.67
Purpose of role:
To undertake the routine analysis of environmental samples within the Inorganics section.
Main Responsibilities:
Undertake laboratory analysis of samples from a variety of sources and in strict adherence to analytical methods and standard operating procedures.
Analysis and investigation of results in conjunction with the senior staff.
Routine maintenance and troubleshooting of instrumentation.
Develop, validate, review, update and implement standard operating procedures, for work undertaken in their area of responsibility, in conjunction with senior staff.
Ensuring that procedures are followed routinely and departures or changes are brought to the attention of the Section Head.
Undertake data entry using a Laboratory Information Management System.
To uphold and comply with the statutory provision of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and any other relevant legislation and policies or procedures relating to Health &Safety at Work.
The Laboratory Analysts will uphold and comply with the requirements of UKAS Accreditation.
To undertake any other reasonable task or responsibility requested by a senior manager.

Which skills and experiences you will need to succeed in this role?
Qualifications required:
Degree in a Science-related subject.
Experience required:
Knowledge and experience of IC, ICP, Continuous Flow Analyser, Discrete Analyser would be ideal but full training will be given.
Skills required:
Attention to detail.
Ability to follow procedures.
