THE ROLE
The Innovation research analyst will examine new and promising technologies together with business specialists for application of the examples in reality. Supports the development of prototypes, checking practical applicability, and accompanying them to final development.
Examines possible related business areas and potentials that link future or existing products and technologies of the company in a new context. With the view to possibly open up new business fields, or unlock business capabilities using existing resources and with relatively little additional effort

DUTIES
- Explores industry for technology developments that are relevant for IAGCargo business; identifies innovation opportunities and follows through to develop the ideas in collaboration with internal resources and external organizations.
- Executes medium to low complexity innovation pilots that result in recommendations to change business processes through the application of technologies and more efficient use of resources.
- Plans and collaborates with business experts to conduct moderate-to-complex analysis and build artifacts that lead to deliverables.
- Working closely with experts from the different areas of the company, detects improvements, and new opportunities
- Reimagining new customer experience in relation to IAGCargo products and services
- Proposing innovative ways of working, products and business models aimed at enhancing the company’s offering
- Monitoring, analyzing, and communicating innovation metrics to senior management to seek opportunities to improve the company’s innovative performance
- Analyzing internal processes or developments to identify potential profitable products or improvements for the market
- Quantifies benefits and develops business cases for innovation initiatives.
- May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

- Interfaces with all areas of IAG Cargo, Group IT, H51 as well as other OpCos innovation depts.
External
- External as required – IT Suppliers, Universities, Research Labs, Start Ups, other companies in the industry, other industries with similar characteristics, etc

Qualifications
- Degree level in engineering, mathematics, physics, economics or statistics or equivalent or relevant experience in innovation departments
- Accredited Design thinking, process analysis and/or change management skills highly regarded.
Experience
Essential Experience
- Desktop tools including Excel, Powerpoint, MS Project, etc
Desirable Experience/Skills
- 3+years working experience as analyst, process lead, innovation departments
- Experience with Innovation, Design Thinking and Market Research
- English and Spanish speaking
