Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer – Linux
Location(s): Remote and UK office working (Harlow or Glenrothes)

Summary of Role
Raytheon UK has an opportunity for an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join the core Digital Technology organisation. The function is responsible for the design, implementation, management, and maintenance, of the Data Centres and supporting infrastructure in 2 main locations in the UK. This role is critical to the organisation, requiring a technical expert who can manage complexity and deliver key infrastructure services while assuring Raytheon’s ability to deliver both internal and external solutions.
Specifically, this role is to manage the company’s Red Hat Enterprise Linux estate.
Main Duties
· Responsible for the agile delivery a of reliable, secure, and cost-efficient IT infrastructure.
· Plays a key role in operational Data Centre and hosting improvement projects.
· Works with functional leadership to develops long term vision of Raytheon UK IT Data Centre technologies and solutions.
· Ensure all services are appropriately documented.
· Engage closely with the rest of the department working towards achieving stable and reliable operations.
Essential:
· Designing and implementing Linux in a greenfield environment
· RedHat Enterprise Linux Server administration and configuration
· RHEL Satellite Administration
· Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server security hardening (C.I.S and Government standards)
· Significant Experience in the following technology areas such as: Server Hardware, Storage, and virtualisation platforms.
· Knowledge of industry best practices in Private and Public Cloud provisioning
· Excellent communication skills - written, verbal, presentation and influencing
· ITIL qualifications and practical experience within a service centric organisation
Desirable
· Bachelor's degree in information technology, Engineering, Science, or Mathematics
· Implementation, support, and administration of Microsoft Windows Server
· Sound knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory
· Knowledge of Veeam backup and recovery
