Infrastructure Engineer – Job Opportunity
Role: Infrastructure Engineer
Location: North Wales / Remote
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000
This role you will be expected to visit the offices in North Wales 3 times a month, however this can be negotiable for candidates based too far away.
Our client, a specialist SaaS Solutions provider, are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join their project delivery team.
This role would involve you working closely with the wider infrastructure team to support the business in achieving their growth objectives.
Infrastructure Engineer Skills / Background –
- Experience using AWS management console effectively
- Strong understanding of disaster prevention and disaster recovery plans
- Experience with standardisation of software installation requirements
- Oracle processes
- Be able to monitor solutions such as Grafana
Infrastructure Engineer Role Responsibilities –
- Plan, develop, and implement new solutions and improve existing ones using AWS diagrams for documentation
- Review and assist with the implementation of missing policies
- Identify unnecessary costs within AWS to lower expenditure and reduce waste
- Introduce standardisation of software installation requirements and document all processes and requirements
- Introduce Atlassian suite to replace storage of word documents on insecure in-house file store software
- Learn and document Oracle processes such as creating network links, importing and exporting databases
- Implement and configure monitoring solutions for various parts of the in-house java Infrastructure
