Job description

You will be joining the SysTrack Team which utilises Lakeside’s SysTrack Analytic Reporting Product to understand and improve user experience across the end user computing estate of over 130 thousand Windows 10 devices. The tool captures UX data from each device and uplinks it to a SQL database, this quantifiable data provides key insight into the user experience.

Through the use of SysTrack’s out of the box solutions and custom dashboards we offer advanced analytics and insights into Windows 10 endpoint performance. We are able to map the end-to-end user experience journey from the initial boot & login to application launch and then all the resources that application/device consumes.

The team are also responsible for the management and support of the Beyond Trust Remote Access tool that enables service desk staff to provide remote support to Digital users.

The roles and responsibilities for this position include, but are not restricted to:

  • Effectively support, manage and monitor the SysTrack tooling in a Windows Server environment to ensure reliable performance and uptime
  • Design, test, deliver and implement dashboard solutions to support a wide range of requirements from multiple Product teams. For example; the tracking of devices for asset management or application installs for Office 365
  • Provide specialist technical support and assistance to projects ensuring definition and delivery of non-functional requirements that support the product's roadmap
  • Employ Agile principles of iterative/collaborative development approaches and continuous improvement in our product deliveries for L1/L2 Support Teams through further enhancements to our incident triage dashboard suite
  • Apply different techniques to methods in analysing and resolving problems, working up new practices and procedures or modify existing processes to improve performance
  • Create and provide reports of service and product performance to Senior Leadership members from Digital, reporting against agreed KPIs and via the relevant reporting.

This job role may be suitable for hybrid working, which is where an employee works part of the week in their DWP office and part of the week from home. This is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement and your office will be your contractual place of work. The number of days that anyone will be able to work at home will be determined primarily by business need but personal circumstances and other relevant circumstances will also be taken into account. Salary Information

Salary for this role is from £38,469 (Band min) to £46,480 (Band max).

The maximum salary for the grade is £41,480, however a Digital Allowance of up to £5,000 per annum is available for exceptional candidates, based on our assessment of your skills and experience.

Our offer to successful candidates will be based on an assessment of your skills and experience as demonstrated at interview.

Existing Civil Servants who secure a new role on lateral transfer should maintain their current salary.

Existing Civil Servants who gain promotion may move to the bottom of the next grade pay scale or 10% increase in salary whichever would be the greater.

Stage 1: Application

  • Experience of performing the administration and support of all infrastructure solutions and services
  • Ability to effectively communicate at different levels, across level 2 and level 3 technical teams, business users, architecture and 3rd party suppliers and end users
  • Design and implement infrastructure services/solutions to meet strategic plans and roadmaps
  • Experience acting as 3rd line support for incidents, problems and changes to infrastructure solutions and services
  • Monitoring of infrastructure services and alerts and taking appropriate action
  • Working knowledge of SQL.
