About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our friendly and inclusive team. You will be joining an established team responsible for supporting a large Windows Server infrastructure and mission critical applications across traditional datacentre and cloud platforms.
You will assist in maintaining our systems to the highest standards of security and efficiency and help develop the infrastructure of tomorrow.
In the role of a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will be regarded as the Subject Matter Expert, responsible for providing strategic expertise to ensure the effective management of our Infrastructure
The team is responsible for the full spectrum of run and build activities so there are opportunities to excel in the area that best fits your personal skillset.
Whether you are more suited to developing standards and governance, troubleshooting production issues, or documenting and building new systems you can make this role your own.
You will join the team at an exciting time supporting CBS in developing their digital presence so there is a huge scope for you to develop your skills for the next generation.
About You
Essential Skills
- Windows Server expert in several product versions
- Demonstrable Active Directory knowledge to strategic design level
- Expert understanding of Group policy, DNS, DHCP
- Microsoft Exchange Server Administration experience
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Experience with Windows based applications
- TCP/IP, FTP, HTTP(s), SMTP, SSH, Telnet, TLS/SSL, SNMP
- Experience of working within an ITIL environment
- PowerShell or other infrastructure scripting skills
- Knowledge of Globalscape EFT
- M365 / Exchange Online
- Citrix Experience
- SCCM and server patching
- Exposure to VMware Esxi and Vcentre.
- Amazon AWS experience
- Microsoft Azure experience
- Exposure to File servers and services
- Certificate Services.
- Experience with Backup software
- Antivirus suites
Other essential information:
- Available for out-of-hours support, on a rota basis.
- Be flexible in supporting BAU activities or Project work as required
- Be used to working within an ITIL framework
- Able to work under pressure.
- Thorough, with a good attention to detail.
- Deliver to agreed timescales.
- Flexible approach to working hours to meet own objectives and assist colleagues in meeting their objectives.
