Job description
Arcas Technology is partnered with a leading Construction company based in Surrey who are currently looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join their business on a permanent basis.
This is an exciting time to join the business as they embark on a Cloud migration, if you have experience in Cloud migrations then this will be extremely advantageous.
Responsibilities:
- Manage end user accounts, permissions, access rights and storage applications in accordance with business needs and industry best practices regarding privacy, security and regulatory compliance.
- Complete network engineering, business application and database administration functions to implement desktop and server environments that utilise best practices.
- Assist in the deployment of workstations, servers, printers and firewalls.
- Ensure the integrity and security of enterprise data in accordance with business needs and industry best practices regarding privacy, security and regulatory compliance.
- Assist in managing operating systems and end-user software including centralised deployment of security and updates.
- Configure and maintain workstation connectivity, LAN, Wi-Fi and internet.
- Analyse system, server, application and network performance and act where necessary.
- Perform and test routine system backups and restores.
- Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems on servers, workstations and network devices.
- Using data analytic skills to generate reports in response to business needs.
- Develop, document and maintain procedures, guides and training plans for administration and appropriate use.
- Work with third party suppliers to ensure that contractual SLAs are met and work with suppliers to rectify issues, where required.

- Firewall configuration and maintenance
- Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, and DNS
- Remote working technologies – e.g. DirectAccess / VPN / Intune
- Networking/Wireless Infrastructure
- Endpoint Manager
- Microsoft Sharepoint
- Azure / Intune management
