MAJOR GLOBAL RETAILER SEEKS Global IT Infrastructure Architecture Manager

About the Candidate:
- A proven background in presales, professional services and solutions design from previous SME roles
- At least 10years experience within IT Systems & leading technical design within Customer environments
- Technical SME covering areas of Microsoft products (AD, SCCM, WSUS, 365), Linux, AIX, Citrix, VMware, Storage in both Data center & Hybrid-Cloud environments, Mainframe is a plus
- Have an existing understanding of infrastructure technologies & solutions required to enable high performing business critical global SAP & VDI environments in both datacenter & cloud
- Clear understanding of LAN/ WAN architecture with technologies such as DMVPN & SDWAN
- Strong in IT Technology Leadership, Project Management and ITIL processes
- Experience in managing global transformations, transitions, M&A IT, change programs
- Background in leading customer & vendor meetings, whiteboarding and documenting solutions & tenders
- Senior level engagement with strong commercial/ business mindset & ability to command respect within a remote outsourced environment
- Ability to underwrite and ratify technical designs at high and low level
- Experience in a wide range of established and emerging technologies with the ability to harmonise & lead a global portfolio of services
- Industry recognised expert or architectural certifications and experience
- Global mindset, results focus, ownership & accountability, Innovative
- Highly motivated, flexible and ambitious with an opportunity- driven & shift-left mindset
- Very process oriented, hands-on and able to handle pressure
- Able to manage teams and proven experience in getting the best out of vendors
- Strong in planning and execution with good communication skills – customer oriented
- Excellent oral and written skills in English – any other languages would be an asset
- Microsoft MCSE or MCSA certification, LPI certification, CISSP certification
- Experience within the rapidly changing consumer Retail environment
- DevOps CI/ CD methodologies including Agile project delivery
- Lead the CIO Design authority & governance with internal stakeholders and vendors to drive consistent experiences & deliver new globally deployed solutions, projects or changes enabling key business metrics
- Act as Chief Architect for Global IT services and drive the business transition to a Service Oriented architecture prioritizing consolidation and security improvement
- Hold a data-driven mindset when working with technical teams, stakeholders and vendors to define, own & ensure a coherent and consistent technology strategy, roadmap & topology
- Ensure all current and future solutions meet security, quality, policy and compliance requirements
- Identify opportunities to provide innovative enterprise solutions by leading PoC’s for technology that strengthen the global service offerings & capabilities. Ensure tight alignment & partnerships with key technology vendors to ensure forward thinking & proactivity
- Establish close working relationships with geographically diverse business stakeholders to scope requirements, construct high & low-level technical designs (functional & non-functional), configurations and operational processes to drive Local, Country or Divisional projects
